I’ve seen 58 out of 100.  Just over half of them.  When you think that for the last 25 or so years I have had the option of  videos and later DVDs, in addition to seeing them in a cinema, it does look as though I have been a bit lazy.  It’s a strange list.  I am wondering how many of the people who voted for these films, to create this list, were more than just a few years past puberty.  For instance, the three LOTR films, which were little more than cartoons with real actors, are way up there, ahead of such infinitely better films as 2001, Amadeus, and Lawrence of Arabia.   Anyway, if you'd like to jump in,  please feel free to use this list and show us how many of these you’ve seen.  Please link back to here and let me know you're having a go.

You haven't seen, It's A Wonderful Life!?!? I thought every one seen that wonderful movie at on time or an other.
Have you seen The Green Mile? The Shawshank Redemptions was a great movie. I've seen it several times.

Hope you are able to enjoy your Easter.

Ok. I copied this and used your bolding format to show the ones I've seen.

Hey, didn't you tell me that you fell asleep while watching the Lord of the Rings-movies? They don't count then. ;)
And just for the record: I haven't seen 2001 and Amadeus, but in no way whatsoever is Lawrence of Arabia even close to the greatness that is LOTR. No. Way.

But I can't believe how many fantastic movies you haven't seen: Taxi Driver, American Beauty, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Terminator 2, Pulp Fiction, Sin City, Blade Runner, L.A. Confidential, Reservoir Dogs, Matrix - they're all bloody good. Some just as entertainment, but some of them are classics. You really missed out on a lot of fun there. (god, and I just realized I am watching WAY TOO MUCH television...)

How very sad...out of 100 movies, I have seen *NINE* of them. Maybe some other time in my life, when I have more time and less interuptions...

Thanks for putting me on your blogroll =)
I'll put you on mine too, when I get around to make one... =)

I've borrowed your borrowed list. It was very timely as I just watched "No Country for Old Men" last night - I kept staring at the screen long after the credits had finished rolling...I think I need to watch it again. I'd seen 65/100 on that list, most of the ones I hadn't seen were the foreign films. Just can't get into subtitles I guess.
Cheers!

These lists are always such a peek into a person's life! There were lots on there that I've seen that you haven't. For instance, A Clockwork Orange. Weird movie, but visually gorgeous. I'll have to save this idea for when I'm not overrun with ideas!

Oh boy, I have a list of must see movies almost as long as that - so I didn't look at any titles for fear my list would grow even longer.

I wanted to let you know I posted the "stories" from last weeks Mad Libs style TT - come by and vote if you have time!! :-)

I'll do this one next week. :)

I didn't like 2001 - very boring. I did like Amadeus, and the LOTR films, while I wouldn't say GREAT, were as good as much of the other stuff up there.

Lots of great movies to choose. I've seen about half of them. Happy TT!

I'm going to borrow your list too.

I, too, have never seen It's a Wonderful Life, and I consider myself to be a very well-adjusted individual despite not having ever cared to see it.

As for the other movies, I've only seen 15 of them, yet some of those 15 I've seen multiple times (Holy Grail, Star Wars, all LOTR, & Braveheart).

It's a matter of personal taste. Really, don't you think movie quality is in the eye of the beholder? I couldn't stand 2001. Loved LOTR. I'm definitely way beyond puberty and I do have an appreciation for and understanding of "deep" things. I am also an artist at heart and a sucker for fantasy.

This was fun! I re-counted the last 150 (54) and also got 54 here, which is 108/250. I was in fact thinking of stealing this from you (with a mention of course) and then read that you're encouraging that sort of thing. So gee, thanks! :-)
