My BFF was a ballerina for awhile, and still has the back problems (two surgeries now) that go with doing that to your back. It was fine at the time, just caught up to her later. Sad, because when they dance really well, it's so breathtakingly beautiful.

Augh! Just looking at that picture of the ballerinas makes me squirm with imagined back pain.

Ouch. That looks painful - and I'm not talking about the Koreans. ;)
I didn't know it was possible to bend that far backwards. With my figure I woudn't even be able to get behind that rail... LOL
People do funny things sometimes.
