It’s so nice to be back in the land of Thursday Thirteen again! I was afraid we had seen the last of it. After a hiatus, I’m back with a book list. I can’t tell you all that much about these books, because I haven’t read any of them, so I can only go by what I have heard and what the cover blurbs say. They are all on my To-Be-Read list. In fact, I’d welcome any comments about them. Are there any good ones here? Or ones to be avoided at all costs?

Life of Pi is on my pile as well - have heard good things from readers I trust. I like the sounds of that Burgler book though.

We certainly don't have the same taste in books LOL! Happy reading though and thanks for stopping by my blog!

I'm quite curious to read No room secrets, now. Sadly, I have read none of these books, so I can give you no advice on the topic.

Your T 13 (which, by the way, I'm thrilled is back!) has come at a perfect time for me- as I'm laden up in bed with a pile of library books big enough to keep me sane over the 'contagious stage', your list will be closely scrutinized!
I have read Life of Pi and enjoyed it very much, although all the hype put me off a little as I prefer to go in cold turkey, without knowing anything about it. It was beautifully written though, not everyone cup of tea but should definitely have a taste.
As for Iris Johansen...I only discovered her last week and have just this very moment (well, 10 mins ago) finished Blind Alley. (I do like coincidences.) I really enjoyed it and will be reading more- in fact I have Stalemate right beside me. I love thrillers, the creepier the better; and tho' this wasn't that creepy, I enjoyed how she brought roman history into the present day. Her characters were very believable and I read it straight through.
The only thing I didn't like? I felt that she 'told me', rather than 'showed me' at times. But I recommend trying her...I'd be interested to know what you think.
bella :)
