I think the very first step towards changing the effects of global warming should take place within our own homes. I think that we, as consumers, need to concentrate on doing our part before we can say to the govt. "why aren't you fixing this?", or at least work in tandem with them. If we could make more of the general population start working harder towards conserving our resources, that would be a huge first step towards solving the problem. IMHO
