I did the first half of of this meme last week. Here's the second half.
Eight Things I Often Say. This isn’t easy, because I very seldom listen to a word I say, but I’ll give it a go…
“A medium decaf, please” (at Starbucks)
“Mmmyessssss…..” (meaning “no”)
“You look as though you’d like a nice cup of tea!” (to the wife)
“Yes, take your time. We’re not in a hurry at all.” (muttered under my breath when stuck behind a car doing 10mph)
“Daddy loves you!” (to the cats)
"No biting!" (also to the cats)
“Yes, certainly. With joy in my heart I leap to obey, and a happy song will play about my lips, for I am able to be of service to you!” (whenever the wife asks me to do some domestic task around the house)
“And what lesson do we learn from that?”
Eight books I am reading or have recently read. Well, I only read one book at a time, so here is my current book and seven recent reads…
“Three Men In A Boat” by Jerome K. Jerome
“Diary Of A Nobody” by George and Weedon Grossmith
“Diary Of A Somebody” by Christopher Matthew
“Sharpe’s Escape” by Bernard Cornwell
“Three Cheers For Me” by Donald Jack
“All In The Mind” by Ludovic Kennedy
“Flashman On The March” by George MacDonald Fraser
“The First Day On The Somme” by Martin Middlebrook
Eight Songs I Could Listen To Over And Over. How to cut it down to eight? And my hat is off to anyone who has heard of even one of these…
“My Baby Just Cares For Me” by Jack Payne & his BBC Dance Orchestra, 1931
“My Pretty Girl” by Jean Goldkette & his Orchestra, 1927
“Margie” by Bix Beiderbecke & his Gang, 1928
“White Jazz” by Lew Stone & his Band, 1933
“Blue Baby” by Fred Elizalde & his Music, 1928
“From Monday On” by Paul Whiteman & his Orchestra, 1928
“The Gaby Glide” by The Peerless Orchestra, 1912
“The Chant” by Jelly-Roll Morton & his Red Hot Peppers, 1926
“Harmony Blues” by Bennie Moten’s Kansas City Orchestra, 1927
"Feelin' No Pain" by Miff Mole & his Molers, 1927. Yes, I know that's ten. Sue me!
Eight People I Think Should Do Crazy Eights…. No, I won’t tag anyone. I worked it out: if I tagged eight people who then tagged another eight people each, and it went on that way step by step each day, in one week we would have over sixteen and half million people doing this meme. The net would be swamped! So, I’ll just leave it for anyone who wants to try.
Hi Nicholas,

I have heard of two:
“The Gaby Glide” by The Peerless Orchestra, 1912
“The Chant” by Jelly-Roll Morton & his Red Hot Peppers, 1926
I'm currently enjoying the Classic Tracks of Fletcher Henderson and His Orchestra. :)

And what lesson do we learn from that? - were you a teacher in a past life?

Great responses again, Nicholas! I am glad I tagged you, but I completely understand that you don't want to tag anyone else. Those are scary stats that you figured out!

Nice list but though I loved reading it, I am not going to attempt the insanity. ;-) I love that stop biting is a regular part of your vocabulary.
In regards to my TT the pee artists did not know at the time they were a picture in the making, BUT really past experience should have taught them. ;-)
