Did you read my blog about the McCain drinking game? You have to take a drink every time he says, "My friends."

My husband and son are driving to Gainesville on Friday and going to the UF/LSU game on Saturday. I think they are staying with our friends the Mollmans. Don't know much else about their plans.

But I am kind of relishing 3 days to myself. (My daughter says she's spending the weekend at a friend's house.)

I think people are so fed up with the Republicans at this point that they're willing to put down their prejudices and vote for whoever promises a change. My father, not known for being terribly sophisticated about race, told me when I asked him recently that he was voting "for the black guy." I'm sure that McCain didn't mean the "that one" as a racial slur, but he's definitely had no problem mucking about in the mud during this campaign. It looks like he'll lose both the election and his reputation in one go.

What scares me is how close they are in the polls. Am I so far off to be stunned that they have any percentage points??

You hit the nail on the head. The winner will be the best salesperson. I am a lot liberal so you can guess where I personally stand but then again I stay away from the two most controversial topics and that is politics and religion.

Stopping by to say hello. I haven;t been in the blog world too much lately.

Hope all is well your way. :o)

I'll be disappointed if it isn't a rout. The country really needs a full repudiation of the Repbublican illusion at this point. What was really needed was a drawn-out impeachment process, but we've evidently stopped impeaching leaders. (I can't imagine anyone ever being impeached if Bush isn't.)

Cracking up at Di's comment about the McCain Drinking Game! That "my friend" stuff coming from him is just too much. Erkle... pass the antacid!

Good post on the debate. :)
