Before we are swept away by residual euphoria, and before we get impatient if change seems to take longer than would like, here is a reminder of what has gone before. It’s called 8 Years in 8 Minutes, but in fact it is almost nine and a half minutes long. If you have nine and a half minutes to spare, do watch. It’s hard to believe these things happened in the US − no, actually it’s very easy to believe, unfortunately. Let’s hope the last two presidential terms were just an aberration, never to be repeated.

Bush did not put your country were it is today single handed like every seems to think. Don't people know how our government works? just because he was the president these past eight years doesn't mean he and he alone is to blame for the state of our country/world. What happens though when president Obama hasn't got even a fraction of what he has promsed is Bush going to be blamed for that also. Blaming Bush will only last for a while longer.
Hmmmm What about the Democratic Congress that's been in place for a few years and been completely ineffective. I do how ever as a citizen have to keep faith that he will do some thing good, even if I won't believe in everthing he does

You can look back in my archives for my own rant (Nov. 08) about The Evil One. Thanks for posting this, Nicholas - scary as it was to watch it.

Well, now you've really shocked me in to hunting down my corkscrew (a long story...the m-in-l)...at least I was sitting down for this. How W got re-elected after the first 4 years is beyond my comprehension, but also worrying was how attached Tony Blair appeared to be to him.
And I'm sorry, I know many people felt this was a minor point, but it bothered me that Bush was quite inarticulate. Well, amongst other things.
Of course, Obama's honeymoon won't last for ever. I still believe he's going to be a million times better than Bush and his men.
