I do have a cat that has just recently been doing this. Sophie was a new Momma in April and it was either that she wasn't feeling well or she was in heat again. She was sitting just like your cat for most of the day and would occasionally yowl really loud and mewy. I just got her fixed last Wednesday and she hasn't done it since. I hope your cat is OK.

After I read your blog I talked to a cousin of mine that is a veterinarian and he said that catnip is a plant that is known to inspire odd behavior in cats. It is completely harmless to cats, however only about 50% of all cats will have a behavior reaction to catnip.

Hope this puts your mind at ease.

So is Mary saying that the cat is stoned? Just wondering...
